Cart Tent DIT upgrades
In MULE we manufacturing products that are useful to the clients. They usually solving one main problem and smaller others in parallel. Also we like to hear the clients, to grab their feedback to make right improvements in our products. So based on your feedback we make upgrades of our products.
This time we asked the Cart Tent and Cart Tent DIT owners about what they want to improve? We collected all the old version problems and fixed them! So now we are introducing the updated version of the Cart Tent with improved quality and usability!
Major upgrades:
The fabric
Problem: The white layer wasn’t durable enough and it often tearing on the corners. The black fabric had not enough blackout level.
Solution: We make new multilayer fabric. It also has white fabric outside and blackout layer inside. The quality of blackout layer was improved. More durable black roof corners will prevent of tearing of the main blackout fabric.

Water resistance
Problem: water remained between two fabrics after rain.
Solution: Usage of the multilayer fabric allowed to seal the seams on the roof. This improves waterresistance of the whole Tent.

Packing of the sides
Problem: the Tent walls had rubber bands on the Top and on the sides but it’s takes too long to roll up all side. And sometimes is hard to fix the rolled side with the rubber band and it can roll down.
Solution: We place two tent carabiners on the top of each side and the hooks on the zipper sides. Now you don’t need to roll up the wall, just fold it in a half three times to raise it up. Also you can leave it as a half side or a diagonal one to cut some light from the monitors but leave extra space for the team or to make better ventilation in the Tent. We leave the rubber bands under the roof to pack the sides more compact if you need it.

Color indicator of the long/short side
Problem: during assembling of the Tent is hard to know how to place the fabric right.
Solution: To know were the long and the short size we make the color indicators. The loops on the zipper sides are in two colours now: green and black. Them showing which side of the tent is which.

The frame
Problem: The construction of the frame isn’t ideal. It’s hard to put the corners in the same place every time.
Solution: We designed new corners. They have more space inside to slide over the tubes. Also all their mounting screws made with plastic inserts to prevent banding of the tubes and allows to clamp them with half of the turn. Now during collapsing of the Tent’s frame you can leave two side clamps on the longer tubes to keep it directly where you need them for the next shoot.

Storing the frame wit the Tent
Problem: Somebody didn’t collapse the frame and keep it on the cart or place it assembled in the van after the shoot. In such case the main black/white fabric can become dirty or teared.
Solution: Roof-case for the storing and extra protection of the Tent fabric.

Bag design
Problem: the bag lid didn’t covers the bag perfectly. It was needed to make extra moves to fix it.
Solution: We make the lid opening from one side and it covers the bag much better. It can be closed or opened with one hand now.

Extra ventilation
Problem: Usually the DIT setup heating a lot. So if all sides are down you need the extra ventilation in the top side or extra cooling from below.
Solution: To keep the sides more solid and to prevent more sews we decide to make the hole for ventilation with the zipper on one of the corners. We add two extra zippers on that side. Now the ventilation hole can be the size and the hight you need. Can be using with the air pipe of the cooler.

The rain water collecting on the roof
Problem: The water collected on the roof during rain. So you should angled the Tent to make water drops off. But in such way you have different lengths of the side of the Tent from the bottom.
Solution: (will be released soon) The X-Roof insert raising the center of the roof that prevents water accumulation on it.
